At Bestpass, you’re in the Driver’s Seat!
The Systems Engineer position is assigned to the Information Technology team for Bestpass. We are looking for people to help support the network infrastructure needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding around corporate cyber security but still be able to focus on reliability and performance of systems. This role will pay between $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually, depending on experience and other determining factors.
What it takes to be successful:
- Design, setup, administer and perform upgrades and patching of Windows and Linux server environments
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations and propose solutions to improve availability, reliability and performance
- Manage and track a variety of ongoing projects
- Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical systems
- Analyze, propose and implement security controls
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
- Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience as a system/network administrator
- Demonstrated knowledge and growth responsibilities in Windows/Linux environment
- Experience with VMware infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving and ability to work under pressure
- Experience in building and maintaining security systems
