  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, a similar field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience with quality assurance and quality control processes in construction or mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-focused projects is required.
  • Familiarity with Procore and Cx Alloy is required.
  • The candidate must be able to manage documentation and inspection workflows.
  • The candidate must be willing to work onsite full-time in Ohio.
Responsibilities
  • Execute the General Contractor’s Quality Control Program for data hall fit-out projects with limited mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scope from low-voltage switchboards downstream to data hall busways.
  • Conduct preparatory, preconstruction, and initial-phase meetings with subcontractors; create agendas and document meeting notes in Procore.
  • Review quality control document deliverables from L1 through L3 in Cx Alloy.
  • Assist the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing team with L2 equipment inspections and clean walks.
  • Record issues in Cx Alloy and ensure subcontractors and vendors close them out promptly.
  • Set up projects in Cx Alloy, add checklist templates, coordinate asset information from subcontractors, and import asset data into the platform.
  • Create Feature of Work matrices based on the work schedule.
  • Prepare Procore documents for preparatory and initial-phase meetings, including submittal register comments, job hazard analyses, Feature of Work schedules, and specification reviews.
  • Schedule and conduct preparatory meetings, invite stakeholders, and distribute meeting notes.
  • Schedule and execute initial-phase inspections and complete the Procore checklist.
  • Conduct receiving inspections with the site superintendent when necessary and ensure required paperwork and Cx Alloy equipment receiving checklists are completed.
  • Review benchmarks and First of Kind inspections and perform set-in-place inspections, providing the client with at least one week’s notice.
  • Confirm that the installing contractor completes required L2 inspection checklists in Cx Alloy and track inspection, testing, and documentation deliverables.
  • Track pre-startup reports, NETA test reports, torque and megger sheets, short-circuit coordination and arc-flash studies, hydrostatic test reports, flushing reports, and point-to-point documentation.
  • Ensure all L3 startup reports are provided.
  • Assist with final L2 and L3 document reviews and confirm completion and accuracy before L4 commissioning.
  • Perform L2 HITT pre-energization inspections and equipment clean walks with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing team as needed.
  • Ensure required labeling, including arc-flash labels, is installed before energization.
  • Conduct routine examinations and checks of ongoing work and equipment placement to verify installation quality.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of protection for equipment and systems during construction.
  • Route open issues to their respective assignees and track timely resolution, including weekly due-date updates for issues open longer than 48 hours.
  • Manage the punch-list process, conduct weekly or biweekly status meetings with subcontractors, and verify corrected items in the field.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs at least twice daily, record quality control observations in Cx Alloy, and lead superintendents in performing corresponding field checks.
  • Support onsite operations teams with owner-furnished, contractor-installed equipment quality control and delivery coordination when necessary.
  • Maintain current onsite equipment delivery contact information and verify the receiving address.
  • Confirm equipment vendors contact the site point of contact two weeks and 48 hours before shipment.
  • Notify project management, the senior superintendent, and the owner-furnished equipment manager of equipment deliveries.
