Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of relevant software engineering experience building cloud-native applications, APIs, data services, integration services, or enterprise digital platform capabilities.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and building AWS serverless solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and related AWS services.
  • Experience building AWS ETL services and data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, enrichment, validation, orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, error handling, replay, and production support.
  • Strong API development experience, including REST APIs, Graph APIs, API lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, throttling, error handling, versioning, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS database services and data modeling patterns across relational, NoSQL, and graph-oriented workloads.
  • Experience with Graph API and graph database concepts on AWS, including relationship modeling, graph queries, connected data patterns, and graph-powered customer experience or search use cases.
  • Experience integrating AWS services with digital experience platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Product Information Management, Coveo Search, eCommerce platforms, content platforms, or customer-facing web applications.
  • Experience configuring and supporting CDN platforms such as Akamai, Wangsu, or similar services, including origin configuration, cache rules, time-to-live settings, invalidation or purge processes, routing behavior, and caching strategies for customer-facing web applications and APIs.
  • Experience designing, supporting, or integrating AWS-based product data cache capabilities or product data services that support customer-facing web, search, content, commerce, or digital experience platforms.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in either Node.js or Python for building APIs, ETL services, automation, backend services, and cloud-native AWS integrations.
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, microservices, asynchronous processing, message-based integration, serverless design patterns, data quality, and scalable cloud operations.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, logging, monitoring, performance tuning, incident response, and production support for cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of security practices for cloud-native services, including identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, network controls, API security, data protection, and least-privilege access.
  • Ability to translate platform needs from AEM, PIM, Coveo Search, commerce, data, and business stakeholders into reliable, scalable, and maintainable AWS services.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a product-oriented agile POD.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, architecture, product management, platform operations, security, analytics, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Work within a cross-functional POD to deliver AWS services supporting customer-facing experiences across Agilent.com, AEM, PIM, Coveo Search, eCommerce, content discovery, and the connected digital ecosystem.
  • Design, build, and support serverless AWS ETL services that extract, transform, enrich, normalize, and deliver product, content, search, and customer experience data to downstream platforms.
  • Support and enhance the AWS product data cache that powers product data services consumed by Agilent.com experiences.
  • Build scalable AWS-based APIs and integration services connecting AEM, PIM, Coveo Search, commerce, analytics, and other digital platforms.
  • Develop event-driven and serverless solutions using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines supporting structured and unstructured data movement for product information, content metadata, search ingestion, customer experience personalization, and platform synchronization.
  • Build and support AWS database services, including relational, NoSQL, and graph-oriented data models.
  • Develop and integrate Graph APIs and graph database solutions on AWS for relationship-driven product, content, asset, customer journey, recommendation, and search-relevance use cases.
  • Configure and support CDN capabilities using Akamai, Wangsu, or similar platforms, including origin setup, cache behavior, caching rules, cache invalidation, routing, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with AEM, PIM, Coveo, commerce, data engineering, analytics, DevOps, security, and architecture teams to ensure AWS services are integrated, secure, resilient, and production ready.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, performance tuning, and operational support patterns for mission-critical customer-facing services.
  • Apply secure engineering practices including IAM controls, encryption, API security, secrets management, data access controls, and least-privilege design.
  • Contribute to agile delivery, backlog refinement, technical design, estimation, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release readiness, and continuous improvement within the POD.
  • Continuously improve AWS platform patterns to enable faster delivery, better reliability, higher reuse, and measurable customer experience outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to use agentic development techniques, including AI-assisted coding, automated test generation, code review support, documentation acceleration, and workflow automation.
  • Deep AWS serverless implementation experience across Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, Glue, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, CloudWatch, IAM, and production-grade observability patterns.
  • Experience designing Graph API and graph database solutions on AWS, including connected data models supporting search relevance, recommendations, content relationships, product relationships, and customer journey use cases.
  • Experience building AWS ETL pipelines supporting AEM, PIM, Coveo Search, eCommerce, product data, content metadata, entitlement data, and customer-facing digital experience platforms.
  • Experience integrating cloud-native services into large-scale B2B eCommerce, customer community, product discovery, technical documentation, support, or enterprise self-service experiences.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing CDN configurations for global web performance, origin protection, API caching, content delivery, cache hit ratios, and resilient customer-facing experiences.
  • Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform, especially in hybrid or multi-cloud enterprise environments.

Agilent appoints ex-Stryker CFO Glenn Boehnlein to board, chair Koh Boon Hwee retires

Agilent Technologies announced that Koh Boon Hwee retired from its board of directors on 4 September 2026, after more than 20 years of service. Koh joined the board in 2003 and served as independent chair from 2017 until his retirement. Dow R. Wilson, a board member since 2018, was elected as the new chair. Wilson currently chairs the Audit and Finance Committee. The company also appointed Glenn Boehnlein to its board, effective 4 September 2026. Boehnlein spent 22 years at Stryker Corporation, serving as vice president and chief financial officer from 2016 until his retirement in 2025. He currently serves on the boards of Inogen and Sutter Health.

Agilent launches Cary 635 FTIR spectrometer for compact, high-performance lab analysis

Agilent Technologies has launched the Cary 635 FTIR spectrometer, described as the smallest Fourier transform infrared analyser in its class. The compact instrument combines high-performance analysis with user-friendly operation, requiring minimal technical training. The spectrometer features solid ZnSe optical components for enhanced moisture resistance and improved sensitivity for analysing lower-concentration samples. Its modular architecture supports analysis of solids, liquids, powders, and gases, whilst permanently aligned optics enable rapid interchange of sampling modules. The device includes MicroLab software with step-by-step workflows and colour-coded results, allowing novice users to be trained quickly. Agilent generated $6.95 billion in revenue during fiscal year 2025 and employs approximately 18,000 people worldwide.

Agilent expands non-GAAP margin 320 bps, but 110 bps came from tariff refunds

Agilent Technologies reported fiscal third-quarter revenue of $1.88 billion, up 8.1% year-over-year. Core revenue, excluding currency movements and M&A activity, grew 7.3%. The company's non-GAAP operating margin reached 28.3%, expanding 320 basis points. However, roughly 110 basis points of that improvement stemmed from tariff refunds, which also added $17 million to non-GAAP net income and approximately $0.06 to earnings per share. Excluding the refunds, operating margin expansion was approximately 210 basis points, supported by higher revenue and operational efficiencies. All three business segments reported revenue growth, with Life Sciences and Diagnostics Markets Group up 11%, CrossLab up 6%, and Applied Markets up 7%. For the full year, Agilent expects non-GAAP operating margin expansion of more than 130 basis points, including roughly 30 basis points from the tariff refunds.

Agilent shares rise 3% after Q3 beat and guidance upgrade to $6.20 EPS

Agilent Technologies reported third-quarter earnings of $1.62 per share, surpassing analyst expectations of $1.49. Revenue rose 8.1% year-on-year to $1.88 billion, exceeding the $1.84 billion forecast. Growth was recorded across all three operating segments. The laboratory technology group raised its fiscal 2026 guidance, now expecting adjusted earnings between $6.18 and $6.21 per share, above the consensus of $6.06. Full-year revenue guidance increased to between $7.49 billion and $7.51 billion, representing growth of 7.8% to 8.1%. For the fourth quarter, Agilent forecasts revenue of $1.98 billion to $2.0 billion and adjusted earnings of $1.71 to $1.74 per share. Adjusted operating margin expanded 320 basis points to 28.3%. Shares gained over 3% in premarket trading.
