- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of 30-day initial training consisting of classroom and field training, and earning a minimum of two continuing education units annually.
- A valid driver's license and age of at least 18.
- Ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds or more.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
- Ability to calculate basic math.
- Ability to work Saturdays.
- Successful completion of a seven-year criminal background check.
- Successful completion of substance abuse testing.
- Successful completion of a three-year motor vehicle report and compliance with the insurance carrier's minimum eligibility requirements.
- The position is safety-sensitive.
- Maintain service schedules for all customers on the assigned route and call customers prior to service.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pest infestations as needed, applying sound pest control strategies to maintain a pest-free environment for customers on the assigned route.
- Communicate with customers before, during, and after service delivery to assess and meet their needs.
- Continuously monitor infestation and rodent areas and pest application methods, including baits and traps, after application, and communicate progress to customers and operations managers.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to improve skill level.
- Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely and orderly manner.
- Maintain the assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in clean and good working condition.
- Follow all driving laws and company policies when operating company vehicles.
- Maintain data integrity in PestPac and other software systems used by the organization.
- Assist with Sentricon termite bait station checks.
- Participate in collection efforts.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
