- An LLB or LLM degree.

- Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013 and corporate and secretarial compliance.
- Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Familiarity with data protection and information-technology regulatory frameworks, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and IT Rules.

- Advise on compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, IT Rules, and other applicable technology and platform regulations.
- Draft responses to regulatory and grievance notices and prepare periodic compliance and transparency reports.
- Draft and update platform policies and user-facing legal documentation.
- Create and implement advertising-publishing guidelines for new digital products.
- Partner with marketing teams to review campaigns and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including master service agreements, data-processing agreements, licensing and revenue-share agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor and advertising agreements, and intellectual-property contracts.
- Build and maintain contract templates and manage contract workflows using SpotDraft or similar contract-lifecycle-management tools.
- Manage trademark and copyright filings, oppositions, and infringement or takedown notices.
- Support intellectual-property compliance reviews for marketing and product content.
- Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters and prepare case summaries.
- Conduct legal risk assessments for new products and features.
Lokal App is a hyperlocal platform delivering district-level content in vernacular languages for non-English speaking users in India’s Tier 2 and 3 towns, with local news, classifieds, jobs, real estate, matrimonial ads, price data, and government schemes. It works by aggregating content from local users and stringers, plus an in-app training program that allows residents to become contributors and earn money as digital reporters.
