Requirements
  • Network Industry Certification preferred, such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7, and others
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and Wi-Fi solutions
  • Expert-level experience with routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols, as well as overlay technologies such as VxLAN
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred
  • Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, and QoS
  • Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape, specifically Cisco and Juniper
  • Expert-level knowledge of the industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is highly desired
  • Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible is highly desired
  • Strong writing skills and ability to create informative white papers on technology and products is highly desired
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Arista Account Managers to gain an in-depth understanding of enterprise and commercial clients
  • Conduct whiteboard network architectural reviews to identify areas for improvement in network performance and efficiency
  • Present Arista's networking solutions including Open Networking Data Center, Cognitive Campus, CloudVision, Security, and Real-time Fabric Monitoring
  • Design and implement Arista Data Center and Campus network solutions using leaf and spine architectures and overlay technologies
  • Test customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and deployments using Arista products
  • Provide design guidelines and recommendations to enhance network performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with sales team to respond to RFP/RFQs and provide customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technology
  • Represent Arista at industry events and conferences
  • Author white papers on Arista technology and products
