Summary of the Product Director, RWD
The Product Director, RWD is focused on managing the day-to-day operations of collecting, cleaning, and analyzing Real World Data (RWD) within Qualifacts, including tasks like data sourcing, quality control, data processing, and ensuring data is readily accessible for research and analysis purposes; often requiring expertise in data management systems, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clinical teams to facilitate RWD projects effectively.
Responsibilities for the Product Director, RWD
- RWD SME/Liaison: Act as key point of contact between internal teams and third parties such as expert determination and tokenization vendors, third-party data brokers, and end user prospects and customers to ensure we’re building the RWD views that the market is seeking
- Act as “Product Manager” for our RWD Offering: Understand what the market is looking for from our EHR data and then working with key internal SMEs to prep our data for external commercialization – creating a “roadmap” for how we will transform our data from current use cases to ultimately support RWD use cases
- Data Acquisition: Identify and secure access to diverse RWD sources like electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, patient registries, wearable devices, and surveys
- Data Cleaning and Standardization: Implement data cleaning processes to address inconsistencies, missing values, and data errors, ensuring data quality and standardization across different sources
- Data Processing: Perform data transformations, aggregations, and calculations to prepare RWD for analysis, including data extraction, mapping, and linking patient records
- Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality control measures to maintain data integrity throughout the RWD collection and processing pipeline
- Data Governance: Implement data governance practices to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR); work with Corporate and Product Compliance teams to ensure principals are being followed
- Project Management: Oversee RWD projects from initiation to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams like clinical researchers, data scientists, and regulatory affairs to align RWD needs with project objectives
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate data reports and visualizations to communicate key insights from RWD analysis to stakeholders
Qualifications of the Product Director, RWD
- Strong understanding of healthcare data sources, including EHRs, claims data, and patient registries
- Proficiency in data management tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python)
- Healthcare data commercialization, RWD, or RWE required
- Behavioral health data commercialization, RWD, or RWE a huge plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Product Director, RWD
- Expertise in data quality assessment and cleaning techniques
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to RWD collection and analysis
- Project management skills to manage complex RWD initiatives
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams
