Requirements
  • Certification or registration as a CADC-I, CADC-II, or equivalent alcohol and other drug counselor credential recognized by the Department of Health Care Services.
  • Knowledge of Title 9 DUI program regulations and documentation requirements.
  • At least one year of experience providing substance use counseling services.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate DUI education and counseling groups using approved curricula addressing substance use, driving risks, and relapse prevention.
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions and client check-ins in accordance with Title 9 requirements and program phase timelines.
  • Complete intake, orientation, and exit interviews and ensure participants understand program rules and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and other tracking systems.
  • Monitor participant attendance, progress, and compliance with Department of Motor Vehicles and court orders.
  • Prepare and submit required progress reports, completion certificates, and re-enrollment documents.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards consistent with the Department of Health Care Services, Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System, and agency policy.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with court-referred populations or community corrections programs.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish.
  • Lived experience or justice involvement.
