Grants and Contracts Management Specialist

Grants and Contracts Management Specialistto coordinate and assist with pre- and post-award activities in collaboration with Grants and Contracts Specialists in the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Duties Include:

Coordinates and assists with fiscal management of research grants
Reconciles project expenses to budgets and sends financial summaries to PIs
Monitors project budgets and reviews expenditures for approval
Monitors and oversees personnel appointments on projects
Monitors and notifies principal investigators of funding opportunities
Participates in the development of grant budgets
Prepares grant budget proposals in collaboration with grant and contract specialists
Assists with preparation and submission of research progress reports
Ensures compliance with sponsor, university and third party regulations
Assists PIs with effort certification and PET approval
Assists with close-out of projects
Coordinates sponsor invoicing activities and payment recognition for active studies and research agreements
Assists with entry of financial data for invoicing, payment recognition and cost analysis purposes.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
