Logistics Planner @ Zoox

The Logistics Planner is responsible for ensuring that parts are available and in the right place at the right time across the Zoox supply chain network. This individual will act as the interface to manufacturing and service sites to resolve supply issues relating to the part number portfolio.

Responsibilities

Accountable for Material Planning and Logistics master data
Review out-of-stock situations or shortage of supply issues to recommend and execute mitigating actions
Execute part ordering based on build schedules and additional demand requirements.
Work with part suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries of part orders and maintain production uptime.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including timely preparation of all required documentation.
Ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation while meeting delivery timelines/requirements.
Ensure that the export process follows company and industry standards
Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize write-offs
Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and perform corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Logistics or Supply Chain Management focus preferred)
4+ years of professional experience in logistics
Vendor/supplier negotiation experience
General freight forwarding knowledge

Bonus Qualifications

Automotive manufacturing experience
SAP S/4HANA Experience
Demand Planning Experience
Interfacing with 3PL providers
Customs and brokerage
APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $106,000 to $151,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
