- At least 5 years of experience supporting Java application deployment in Linux WebSphere 5+ environments.
- Experience configuring WebSphere 8.5, MQ 7.5, and IBM BPM/WPS.
- Five to seven years of experience with build and deployment automation.
- Expertise in Shell, Batch, and wsadmin Jython/Python scripting.
- Experience with source control systems such as Team Foundation Server, CVS, and Team Foundation Server Application Lifecycle Management.
- Strong understanding of distributed and Internet-based applications.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases, queuing solutions, and LDAP.
- Hands-on experience with WebSphere MQ in Linux environments, including MQ cluster configuration and MQ error logs.
- Ability to provide specifications for website and load-balancing configurations, including SSL certificates.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of monitoring tools and their use in troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Blade Logic automation for deployment, configuration, installation, and scheduling tasks.
- Experience with ticketing systems and tools such as HP, Remedy, and Request IT.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and communicate orally and in writing.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities, including operating-system technical support, systems programming, and data-center capabilities.
- Handle components of complex engineering and analytical tasks and activities.
- Assist in establishing input/output processes and operating parameters for hardware compatibility and coordinating subsystem design and integration into the overall system.
- Provide technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor.
- Support WebSphere installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of supporting technologies and products such as SiteMinder single sign-on, BIG-IP F5 load balancing, and Akamai content delivery network.
- Experience with IBM uBuild and uDeploy automation tools.
