Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The ability to handle telephone calls and visitors, lift telephone books and small delivery packages, operate telephone equipment, and record messages is required.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and record oral information from telephone callers or in person and communicate it to attorneys and staff.
  • Operate a multi-line telephone console to relay incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Welcome guests and notify attorneys or staff of their arrival.
  • Direct telephone calls to appropriate attorneys and staff.
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors to the law office and ensure their proper clearance and routing in accordance with firm policies.
  • Notify a supervisor of difficult situations.
  • Notify building security of visitors and grant them access to the suite when needed.
  • Ensure guests are directed to coat closets and restrooms, offered beverages, and made comfortable in the reception area.
  • Receive and record firm and individual deliveries and route them to the proper recipient.
  • Work with the Facilities Coordinator to maintain the conference room schedule.
  • Maintain the neatness of the lobby and reception area.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a similar position, preferably within a law firm environment.
