We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a dedicated work ethic, be able to “look at the bigger picture”, work well under pressure, be a team player, be highly organized, with the ability to multi-task is essential. The Junior Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing incoming payments, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
Payment Collection:
Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments.
Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
Customer Relations:
Communicate with customers via phone and email to address inquiries and resolve billing issues.
Maintain positive working relationships with clients to ensure smooth and efficient collection processes.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information.
Record all credit card transactions daily and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Reconciliation:
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Assist in reconciling discrepancies and errors in the financial records.
Support:
Assist with month-end closing activities.
Provide support to the sales team and other departments as needed. Activities, such as data entry, reporting, correspondence, and basic analysis requiring attention to detail.
Prepare reports for management as requested.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
0-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
Experience with billing software (e.g., Netsuite, Quickbooks) is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
Excel at operating in a fast-paced environment.
