Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity of government regulations, including DOT and DOD requirements, applicable codes, standards and tech order.
  • Familiarity of the military personal property program and government household goods tariffs.
  • Ability to operate a PC and other office automation equipment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of college or technical school plus three (3) years of relevant experience or five (5) years relevant and progressive experience or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of traffic management, including commercial and military transportation experience.
Responsibilities
  • Prepares appropriate documentation for outbound and inbound shipments, including review of freight rates and mode of transportation (air, surface, or rail).
  • Prepares military shipments IAW appropriate regulations and utilizing the AF Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS) and the AF payment system, Syncada (US Bank)
  • Prepares and certification of Hazardous material and Classified material shipments via all modes of transportation
  • Provides outbound shipment rates / routings on inbound IAW established procedures.
  • Inspects shipments and prepares necessary documentation/reports for OS&D claims.
  • Prepares documents, distributes, and files bills of lading. Receive, process, and file travel orders
  • Prepares work orders and material requests.
  • Acts as POC and performs oversight of special storage items including approval, set-up, reporting, and revalidation for all items
  • Serves as Supply POC on all annual physical inventories of warehouse stock items. Supervises joint inventory team in completing annual inventory.
  • Coordinates with Air force CORs, management, and TOS work groups to establish/schedule work assignments and oversee all Work Orders.
  • Coordinates and completes annual review and reporting of warehouse storage space including inside and outside storage areas. Maintains files with data to include unused, used and total square feet.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hazardous Materials Shipper Certification to package and ship hazardous cargo via all modes of transportation, including radioactive/nuclear products and waste. (If certification is not current, must obtain in 6 months of start date).
  • DPMO Training. ((If certification is not current, must obtain in 6 months of start date).

Lopez will report to president and CEO Bill Monet and oversee operational excellence and customer delivery. Lopez brings over 30 years of experience in government and commercial sectors.
