Network Security Specialist

Role:
- Monitor the organization’s network for security breaches and investigation suspicious activity
- Conduct thorough assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure
- Implement, configure, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to enhance security protocols and response strategies
- Assist in the development and delivery of user security awareness training
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience
- Proven experience in a network security role, with a strong understanding of network infrastructure and security protocols
- Hands-on experience with network security technologies (firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Rapid7
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
- Ability to analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerabilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus:
- Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or Security+
- Experience with cloud security principles and technologies
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Previous experience in a similar environment

Base pay is a single component of Astranis’s total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.
Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

$130,000—$180,000 USD
