Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or at least nine years of relevant operational leadership experience.
  • At least five years of senior housing operations experience with proven leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience supervising Executive Directors and providing operational direction across multiple communities.
  • Knowledge of assisted living, memory care, and independent living regulations in all states within the assigned region.
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping, resident care, maintenance, dietary, and business office operations within senior living communities.
  • Applicable state licensure or certification as required.
  • Experience in staffing, team development, and retention.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet browsers, Welcome Home customer relationship management software, and electronic medical record platforms.
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and move throughout communities and resident apartments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to follow infection prevention and control protocols, including personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Ability to remain current on required training and ongoing education initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Executive Directors with developing management teams, including interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching or counseling.
  • Support Executive Directors in meeting or exceeding budgeted occupancy goals by ensuring communities are tour-ready, completing post-tour follow-ups, and holding Directors of Sales accountable.
  • Oversee each community's satisfaction survey process and partner with Executive Directors to achieve high satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure each community complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct monthly budget variance reviews with each community.
  • Review each community's spend-down sheet and DOMO report at least weekly, and communicate variances and resolutions to the Divisional Director of Operations.
  • Conduct routine community visits using site visit checklists and follow up with Executive Directors and department heads to address deficiencies.
  • Oversee open positions in assigned communities, ensure department leaders fill positions promptly with suitable candidates, and monitor time-to-fill data and turnover rates.
  • Conduct onboarding and orientation for new Executive Directors and provide follow-up training when needed.
  • Provide leadership consistent with servant-leadership principles.
  • Ensure Executive Directors follow communication expectations policies and adhere to those policies personally.
  • Educate Executive Directors on using DOMO and related systems to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Perform conflict intervention and resolution for customers, families, employees, and other impacted parties.
  • Travel as needed, up to four days per week; overnight travel may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
