Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience; typically six years of related, progressive work experience for candidates without a bachelor’s degree.
  • Four years of natural gas pipeline or similar construction-related experience, including knowledge of pipeline facility operation and maintenance procedures, codes, and engineering standards, plus one year in a senior technical or leadership role.
  • Basic computer skills and demonstrated leadership, organization, initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability for 24-hour call-out, seven days per week, and willingness to carry a cell phone.
  • Ability to comply with Department of Transportation drug and alcohol regulations and testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Ability to support team success, maintain a positive attitude, complete assigned work, and build strong interpersonal relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the construction team in executing projects and repair activities in compliance with regulatory safety and environmental rules, company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop project plans, provide direction, and coordinate project activities associated with construction support services.
  • Assign and schedule construction team work and confirm that assigned work is properly completed by team members.
  • Direct, inspect, approve, and reject team members’ work; assign specific tasks; anticipate, analyze, and correct problems; and coordinate required tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Communicate information, maintain records, complete as-built packages, manage team resources, and train and evaluate team members.
  • Support teamwork, facilitate conflict resolution within the crew, and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business practices.
  • Manage construction team expenditures to meet capital and operations and maintenance budget requirements.
  • Assist field operations teams with pipeline-related tasks, including emergencies, pipeline leak repairs, and TBS or farm tap modifications when construction activities are slow, weather-impaired, or otherwise directed.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities related to employee safety, employee selection and development, employee counseling, and coaching.
  • Assist with department budget administration and report work performed within the department.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities.
