We are seeking a Product Designer who specializes in Web to join our Shopping & Experience team and lead design of Zip’s website experiences. From ideation to implementation, the Product Designer, Growth will work with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Brand Marketing, Engineering, etc.) to drive design & web strategy while delivering experiences that our customers love. A portfolio of relevant design work is required for consideration.

The Design team is composed of brand and product focused teams that work together to define, create, and deliver all user-facing aspects of the Zip product and brand. Product Designers are strategic partners to Engineering and Product Management within dedicated product areas. In partnership with the Product team, they help define our user-facing experiences across the Zip ecosystem. Our designers are responsible for crafting intuitive and beautiful experiences that our customers and merchants love.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

• Design web experiences from concept to launch
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a commitment to excellence
• Collaborate with other designers and multi-disciplinary teams, actively participating in feedback to/from other designers to continually raise our bar for quality
• Assist in and conduct user research to uncover areas of opportunity within your product area, leveraging insights to inform design decisions
• Utilize your knowledge in Figma to create responsive designs that adhere to brand guidelines and UX best practices
• Navigate various degrees of ambiguity, making strategic decisions that balance design aesthetics with functional requirements
• Actively contribute to Product Design team priorities, helping develop and refine our design processes, principles, and ways of working

What you’ll bring to the team 

• 4+ years of experience as a product designer embedded on a product team
• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a wide range of responsive web design work
• Exceptional visual design skills, with an expert eye for layout, color, and typography, and an expanded understanding of current trends and best practices in web design
• Strong multitasking skills, able to engage with multiple teams and deliver high-quality designs under tight deadlines
• Experience using content management systems is a plus
• Experience with front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is highly desirable, facilitating more effective collaboration with engineering teams
• Comprehensive knowledge of web accessibility standards and a commitment to designing for inclusivity
• Previous experience working in a digital agency/studio, or in-house at an e-commerce or financial tech company, is a plus but not a requirement

The Pay Range for this position: $108,800 - $150,144 USD based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip’s compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
