Senior Data & AI Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Data & AI Engineer to join our growing team of AI and data professionals. In this hands-on role, you'll build and optimize cutting-edge data pipelines and AI systems that power our client solutions. You'll work closely with our Principal Engineers and Enterprise Architects to implement scalable data platforms and intelligent automation systems for enterprise clients across CPG, entertainment, financial services, and other industries.

This is a fully remote role, supported by an Atlanta-based team, and requires occasional travel to client sites based on project needs.

What You'll Build:

• Implement data pipelines using modern cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark)
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion and transformation
• Develop RAG pipelines, vector search systems, and chatbot integrations using LangChain and OpenAI APIs
• Create ML pipelines with automated training, monitoring, and deployment using MLOps best practices
• Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, and GCP services including serverless functions and container orchestration
• Build data quality monitoring and observability systems to ensure pipeline reliability
• Develop APIs and web interfaces for data access and analytics dashboards
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement cost-efficient solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building production data systems and pipelines
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL with experience in modern development frameworks
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated data services
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practices
• Understanding of API development and web service integration
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts clearly

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Experience with modern data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and RAG pipeline development
• Experience with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or other generative AI frameworks
• Background with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for building data applications and dashboards
