Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Urology.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
  • An active medical license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Strong surgical and clinical skills, clinical judgment, and communication abilities.
  • Maintenance of state certification and/or licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage urologic conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and urologic cancers.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including surgical interventions, medication management, and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Perform endoscopic, laparoscopic, and open urologic surgeries as appropriate.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up management.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, oncologists, nephrologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education.
