Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience functioning as a business analyst are required.
  • The candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

  • The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences in geographically dispersed environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization and concept development through feature writing to support development and deployment.
  • Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts, including translating business process needs into technical requirements.
  • Provide expertise in change management and training support.
  • Provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments.
  • Provide expertise in Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis, and Technical Analysis.
  • Develop requirements to improve tools, streamline processes, gain efficiencies, and improve key metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops, create shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by the development team.
  • Facilitate Increment and planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure planned work is well defined, planned, articulated, and understood.
  • Assist business analysts, team leads, clients, and cross-functional teams in using issue tracking systems to manage and monitor work across multiple product teams within an Agile program environment.
  • Coach teams in understanding the delivery process, the Agile mindset, and client values.
  • Provide guidance and support in using ticket tracking and Agile lifecycle management tools to report work progress against epics and other large-scale or complex work items.
  • Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports, manage risks and issues, correct deviations from plans, and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Oversee the scrum team for a high-priority client project.
  • Document acceptance criteria in stories so that the development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.
  • Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.

Steampunk, Inc. And Steampunk, Holdings, Inc. Win Federal Jury Trial And Are Cleared Of All Allegations Of Pregnancy Discrimination And Retaliation

MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 28, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, August 25, 2023, following a five-day jury trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (Alexandria Division), an eight (8) person jury unanimously found that Steampunk, Inc. and Steampunk Holdings, Inc., (hereinafter "Steampunk" or "the Company") had not discriminated against a former employee on the basis of pregnancy discrimination, nor had the Company retaliated against the former employee in violation of federal law.The Company terminated former Executive Vice President and General Manager, Kathleen (Kate) Abrey, in January 2021 for consistent underperformance. In June 2022, Abrey filed a federal lawsuit alleging that her 2021 dismissal was motivated by pregnancy discrimination and retaliation. After deliberating for just two hours last Friday, the jurors unanimously rejected Abrey's allegations of wrongdoing and concluded that Steampunk had not discriminated nor retaliated against her.
