Responsibilities
  • Perform the primary purpose and essential duties of the Teller, Relationship Banker I, and Relationship Banker II positions.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of bank products, services, procedures, policies, and regulatory issues, including the Bank Secrecy Act, privacy, fair lending, Regulation E, and deposit, transaction, and loan accounts.
  • Serve as the location subject matter expert for customer organizational structure, documentation, and relationship onboarding.
  • Assess and review customer risk tolerance, including customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, the Bank Secrecy Act, and anti-money-laundering requirements, and collaborate with the Bank Secrecy Act team as needed.
  • Coordinate branch monthly, quarterly, and annual audits and ensure employees maintain operational compliance.
  • Lead by example and serve as a role model for Tellers and Relationship Bankers I and II.
  • Mentor, coach, and train employees on the retail banking customer-delivery process.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Center Manager on team meetings and huddles related to retail banking strategy and execution.
  • Monitor and complete retail teller and banker compliance training, account exceptions, and employee onboarding training within assigned timelines.
  • Serve as customers' single point of contact for all bank products and services.
  • Identify customer product needs and match them with bank products and services by interviewing customers and discussing their financial needs.
  • Make referrals to other staff members and departments to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Follow proper procedures accurately and efficiently for customer-servicing activities.
  • Exceed performance goals and participate in sales campaigns.
  • Retain existing customers and develop new customer relationships.
  • Participate in outbound calling efforts to increase bank relationships and business opportunities.
  • Complete all required annual compliance examinations.
  • Adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma is strongly preferred.
  • Some college education is strongly preferred.
