Your New Role
HBO and Max’s West Coast Production department oversees the production and post-production workflow for all of HBO & Max’s original programming. Our interns contribute to the day-to-day responsibilities of a cable network production and post-production department and by doing so, gain a greater perspective of the market, the industry and the jobs it offers.

Your Role Accountabilities

Please Note: This role is not "on-set" work. Responsibilities listed below.

• Assist Production and Post-Production Assistants in every-day tasks such as production/post tracking, database management and file creation.

• Work with Production and Post-Production Coordinators and Managers on assignments as needed.

• Assist with general office management.

• Maintain and create spreadsheets for the department, on producers and other production department heads.

• Perform research projects as needed.

• File and organize current project documents and archive past projects .

• Step in for assistants to schedule meetings, manage executives calendars, and offer departmental support.

• Network with colleagues and people from all over the company.

• Available to work in person in our Culver City office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)

• Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)

• Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.

• Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros.   What to know before applying:

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.  

  • Program date options:

  • Option 1: June 2nd – August 15th

  • Option 2: June 9th – August 22nd

  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity. 

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided. 

  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
