Requirements
  • The candidate must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
  • The candidate must hold a current Basic Life Support/CPR certification according to policy.
  • The candidate must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and possess sufficient gross coordination to perform other required patient-care duties.
  • The candidate must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing.
  • The candidate must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills, including intravenous insertion and intramuscular injections.
  • The candidate must be able to work in environments involving exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases, and radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
  • Provide dialysis services, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Provide dialysis to patients in the unit or at the bedside according to the level of care required.
  • Participate in the rotating after-hours and Sunday call schedule.
