Notability launches native Android app with AI-assisted note-taking and real-time sync

Ginger Labs has launched its note-taking app Notability on Android via the Google Play Store. The company built the app natively for Android rather than porting the iOS version, incorporating features like S pen button support, paper templates, and document links based on beta tester feedback. The Android version includes AI-powered features through Notability Learn, which generates quizzes and flashcards from notes, provides live audio transcription, and offers instant explanations. Android-exclusive features include rainbow and glitter ink options for handwriting and sketching. The app supports full mouse, keyboard, and stylus input, with real-time syncing across devices. Users can access lock screen shortcuts for quick note-taking and download over 20,000 templates from the Notability Gallery. Notability has been available on iOS since 2010 and has been the App Store's most popular productivity app since 2013.
