Requirements
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Information Security/Assurance, Internal Audit, or equivalent years’ experience
  • Minimum of 5 plus (5+) years of professional experience in a DevOps environment
  • Hands on experience with AWS in a production environment
  • Experience with a wide variety of services in AWS in production
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration, preferably with Kubernetes
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as NewRelic, Datadog, Sumologic, Elasticsearch, etc.
  • Experience with managing source code repositories
  • Experience with build and deployment tools such as TeamCity, Octopus, Buildkite, Jenkins, Github Actions or similar
  • Excellent hands on Linux and Windows skills
  • Experience creating high available systems and scalable architectures
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with serverless technologies
  • Evidence of creating and improving platforms to facilitate continuous delivery
  • Focused operational mindset and passion for observability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical by nature and enjoys troubleshooting and solving complex System Engineering problems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to attend conferences, webinars and meet-ups and share the learning
Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the design, build and operational management of a highly scalable, secure and available infrastructure operating 24x7
  • Ensuring that Auctane infrastructure platforms are secure and can scale to support rapid growth in transaction volumes during periods of peak business
  • Designing and building infrastructure platforms with the highest levels of security
  • Creating tools and automated workflow capabilities to enable software engineers to test and promote code across different environments
  • Collaborating with software engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Constantly improving the platform by introducing new technologies, driving efficiency, and reducing technical debt
  • Working with engineering teams on solution design, capacity planning, and performance
  • Promoting and implementing systems infrastructure and operational best practices
  • Championing cloud native design and ensuring the cloud environment is highly available, resilient, and cost-efficient
  • Providing out-of-hours support as part of scheduled rota or critical project delivery
  • Ensuring data stores are handling data according to policies
