This is an onsite position at Ascension Providence Hospital - Southfield.

As our HIM Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and directing the overall performance of a specified unit/section within a health information management (HIM) department. Every day you will oversee and maintain the integrity of our EMR and data systems, assist with and oversee DNFB/DNFC processes, and ensure accurate registry maintenance, such as birth registry.
Here’s What You Can Expect:
Ensure department performance is consistent with productivity, quality, and compliance expectations
Compile reports and present performance data
Coordinate and participate in external regulatory reviews
Serve as a resource and advisor to local hospital leaders and medical staff regarding health information issues
Establish workflows that ensure appropriate medical record completion and content
Manage resources in a cost-effective manner, following established budget targets
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Minimum of one year of HIM experience
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $43,948.00 - $67,072.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
