Requirements
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Federal and state court experience.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities
  • Manage litigation and dispute-resolution matters for clients, including conducting regular communication with clients.
  • Prepare for, conduct and defend depositions throughout the United States without immediate supervision, including travel as required.
  • Prepare and sign pleadings, motions and other related litigation documents in accordance with Rule 11 obligations.
  • Argue contested, dispositive and discovery motions.
  • Conduct witness interviews and gather client materials.
  • Conduct research and draft appropriate legal memoranda.
  • Assist with trials, arbitrations and other evidentiary hearings as needed.
  • Respond to clients in a timely, forthright, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with litigation attorneys, legal assistants, and assigned staff, as well as provide reasonable support to colleagues.
