ProSidian Seeks a ASL Translator | Translation Services [CLT009008] for Program Support on a Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay Basis located in the Mid Atlantic and listed under a Instructor Level I Labor Category as a Key Personnel Mid Level Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541930 - Translation and Interpretation Services - DPLH Est.: 1 Hrs. ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay Contract Contingent Basis located CONUS - Charlotte, NC Across The Mid Atlantic Region supporting the The City of Charlottes mission of ensuring the delivery of quality public services and promote the safety, health, and quality of life of its citizens  with Translation, Transcription, and Interpretation services.   .

Seeking ASL Translator candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as CLT.  This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Translation Services Functional Area - Translation Services Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Translation Services (ASL Translator) in the Government And Public Services Industry Sector focusing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as City Of Charlotte, NC (CLT) | City of Charlotte Procurement Department Generally Located In CONUS - Charlotte, NC and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - ASL Translator | Translation Services [CLT009008]

• Translate written content between English and ASL for official documents, educational materials, and public information campaigns. Work with video-based ASL translation where needed.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For ASL Translator | Translation Services [CLT009008] (CLT009008) Candidates:

• Certification in ASL translation. RID certification preferred.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ASL, Translation Studies, or a related field. 2+ years of translation experience.

Skills Required

• Strong written English skills, fluency in ASL, experience with ASL glossing.

Competencies Required

• Accuracy, cultural awareness, ability to translate complex information clearly.

Ancillary Details Of The Roles

• Experience with video editing software is beneficial.
• Understanding of legal and public sector terminology preferred.

Other Details

• Work includes document translation and video ASL translation.
