Sr. Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer – Auto Park Motion Planning to join our team. 
This role is based in Newark, CA and requires employees to be onsite five days a week.

Role:

• Develop and maintain software and algorithms that enable vehicles to complete parking maneuvers safely, accurately, and reliably

• Design reusable, high-performance behavior and motion planning software architectures for Level 2/3/4 autonomous parking systems

• Construct and implement advanced machine learning algorithms for data-driven parking behavior

• Lead software development initiatives by applying deep architecture expertise to deploy robust planning systems in real-world environments

• Develop low-latency, high-reliability behavior and motion planning algorithms

• Prototype, test, and release cutting-edge planning software stacks for Lucid production programs

• Write high-quality, automotive-grade software compliant with industry standards for safety and quality

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless implementation and deployment of autonomous parking features

• Maintain technical alignment through effective communication across multiple teams

• Support verification and validation of planning algorithms using prototype and pre-production vehicles

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related field

• Proven experience building reliable production systems with large-scale architecture, evaluation pipelines, ML models, and performance metrics

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Strong C++ skills with hands-on experience in software engineering and algorithm design

• Solid understanding of state-of-the-art models in perception, prediction, or planning for autonomous systems

• Strong grasp of physics, probability, and statistics

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in autonomous vehicle planning and behavior prediction

• Experience developing and deploying real-time systems

• Hands-on experience testing AV systems on real-world platforms
