  • Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved School of Radiological Technology.
  • Achieve registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Hold an Illinois state license.
  • Maintain educational requirements for licensure and registration.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
  • Possess knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess knowledge of technical factors using kVp and mAs for anatomical exposures.
  • Possess knowledge of patient positioning techniques required to image human anatomy.
  • Possess knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to contrast media and medication.
  • Possess knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
  • Possess the ability to use hospital computer systems to manage and navigate patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Perform radiology procedures and coordinate patient care under the direction of the radiologist.
  • Assist the radiologist with patient consultation and follow-up care after radiology procedures.
  • Update radiology tracking mechanisms such as Aspen Lung and MRS.
  • Navigate patients through the care process for further imaging and physician consultation.
  • Work a full-time day-shift schedule of 36 hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with rotating weekends.
