Requirements
  • A minimum high school degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3–4 years of similar or related experience.
  • Strong sales skills, including the ability to identify member needs, explain the features and benefits of services, close sales opportunities, and meet sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving, project-management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, financial reports, legal documents, and complex documents.
  • Ability to respond positively to change and growth in support of credit union goals and upper management.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Branch Manager in coaching and developing branch staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce and achieve branch goals and sales expectations.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in training and developing staff in branch functions, policies, and procedures while communicating organizational direction and objectives.
  • Coach staff on sales techniques and loan procedures to meet monthly CORE product goals.
  • Communicate development and performance issues and employee recognition opportunities to the Branch Manager.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in meeting the branch Net Promoter Score through member and staff communication.
  • Pursue community networking opportunities and expand knowledge of industry trends.
  • Assist with the appearance and maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Support daily branch activity and assist the Branch Manager in meeting branch and credit union goals.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, PTO requests, and policy and procedure compliance.
  • Work the teller line during key periods and act as a resource for staff.
  • Back up new-account and loan-application processes as needed.
  • Communicate concerns and commendations regarding member relationships and sales expectations to the Branch Manager.
  • Research member problems and questions and make necessary corrections.
  • Help ensure compliance with security policies, internal controls, and procedures protecting employees, members, and credit union assets.
  • Oversee monthly branch audits.
  • Ensure employees follow dual-control and other security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee acceptance of branch cash and cards.
  • Work with the Internal Auditor during branch audits as necessary.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and perform other duties supporting effective department operations.
