Requirements
  • Bachelor degree and 4 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong working knowledge of employee benefits i.e., medical/dental, retiree medical, disease management, life insurance, reimbursement accounts, disability, leave of absence and paid time off; possess a working knowledge of health and welfare benefit plans OR 8 years benefits experience.
  • Proven ability in planning and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with internal/external vendors and customers and work effectively in a team.
  • Demonstrated results orientation, history of past accomplishments, ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, organize and implement.
  • Effective computer skills, especially in conducting online research, preparation of spreadsheets and power point presentations and word processing and/or PeopleSoft experience.
  • Willingness to travel
  • CEBS certification.
  • Previous corporate benefits experience to include planning, designing and implementing corporate benefit plans.
  • Previous experience in a corporate Human Resources environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assisting in planning, designing and implementation of corporate benefit programs.
  • Researching and interpreting industry and government developments.
  • Ensuring compliance with government regulations.
  • Working with internal and external vendors on plan administration, contracts, tracking cost and utilization trends, plan modifications, communications and annual renewals.
  • Overseeing communication of benefit programs and policies to employees.
