Your commitment

The summer internship program is 10 - 12 weeks; from June - August.

You will have the opportunity to meet with our highly skilled and passionate Earnies daily. Your ideas, creativity, and dedication to our mission will be front and center with everything that you do. We are not going to be asking you to deliver coffee and bagels, you will be an active participant in projects that are working toward achieving our mission. Plus, at the end of your internship at Earnest, you will get to showcase all of your successes company-wide through our Internship Showcase.

Impact of this role:

• Build Student Loan Refinance product features that simplify the lending process, personalize loans to suit the needs of our customers, and engage with our customers through more human experiences.
• Contribute production code to multiple projects that have an impact on our users, focused on the Student Loan Refinance product.
• Embrace challenges, learn fast, and provide great results.
• Grow your coding skills through mentoring and peer reviews and gain firsthand experience with industry best practices for agile software delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, project demonstrations, team retrospectives and other agile ceremonies with the team.
• Be a part of a friendly, fun, and exciting FinTech environment!

Experiences you will bring with you: 

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s program with a Computer sciencefocus or related degree (recently graduated within a year) OR finished intensive training in Software Development
• Experience with one or more relevant coding languages (Javascript, Java, C++, C#). Preferred experience with NodeJS, ReactJS, AngularJS, SQL. Other technology experience to look for: AWS, Docker, Jenkins, microservices
• Demonstrated interest and ability to learn other coding languages
