IOS Engineer

Overview

As an iOS Engineer on the Engineering team at Phia, you’ll help build the iOS experiences that power search and brand pages across the product. You’ll work on consumer-facing features that enable discovery, exploration, and engagement with brands. This role sits at the intersection of mobile engineering, product discovery, and brand experiences, offering hands-on exposure to how high-quality iOS products are built and scaled. You’ll learn by shipping real features, collaborating closely with product and design partners, and contributing to core surfaces used by a growing audience.

What You Own

• Build and maintain iOS features for search, brand pages, and discovery flows used by a large and growing user base

• Implement high-performance, scroll-heavy UIs (lists, grids, feeds) optimized for responsiveness and smooth interactions

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend Engineers to ship features from concept to production

• Work with APIs that power search results, filters, brand metadata, and product catalogs

• Learn and apply best practices for state management, navigation, and modular iOS architecture

• Contribute to A/B tested product experiments, learning how consumer apps iterate quickly and safely

• Debug and fix issues related to performance, layout, accessibility, and edge cases

• Participate in code reviews and design discussions, growing your technical skills with mentorship from senior engineers

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience building iOS applications (or equivalent internship / project experience)

• Proficiency in Swift and familiarity SwiftUI

• Strong understanding of iOS app architecture (MVVM)

• Experience building networked applications that consume REST or GraphQL APIs

• Attention to UI polish, performance, and user experience

• Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow as an engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
