Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business or Public Administration, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
  • Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
Responsibilities
  • Define requirements for new information systems and modifications to existing systems to ensure business needs are met.
  • Prepare documents for system acquisition through procurement or development.
  • Perform process reengineering to ensure work processes and business requirements are in alignment.
  • Prepare and execute plans for organizational change management and business transition from current to future states.
  • Monitor and manage incoming issues via Ask the Avatar Team, Avatar Communications, and Service Desk tickets.
  • Assist end-users in troubleshooting and resolving clinical system-related problems.
  • Appropriately route issues to the relevant department within Technology Services (TS) or to external departments as necessary.
  • Communicate system outages, scheduled maintenance, and upgrade notifications to management and end-users.
  • Ensure all issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner to minimize disruption to clinical operations.
  • Create new user accounts in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Maintain and update existing accounts, including deactivating accounts for staff who are leaving the organization and updating user roles to reflect job or classification changes.
  • Review and document release notes for system updates.
  • Notify relevant departments within Technology Services (TS) or external departments as needed.
  • Identify and report any critical issues or 'show-stoppers' prior to deployment.
  • Assist with regression testing to ensure system functionality post-update.
Desired Qualifications
  • EMR/EHR Software experience (Avatar experience is a plus)
  • Experience gathering system requirements in a clinical setting
  • Experience communicating with non-technical users in the development and use of technology solutions
  • Experience supporting technology services in a 24/7/365 environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate at a high level with a remote or hybrid team
