Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business are required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders if needed.
  • Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work in refrigeration and freezer conditions where common allergens may be handled or present.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout services.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest experience commitments and create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe team performance, provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize strong guest experience moments.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action, align the team on execution, celebrate wins, and improve results.
  • Understand sales goals and plan and execute daily and weekly workloads to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Plan food service transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, promotions, and price-change workloads.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Assess food service back-of-house, production, dining, and merchandising spaces to ensure food safety and proper inventory levels.
  • Review Food and Beverage standards, food service routines, and reporting daily to identify business gaps and follow-up actions.
  • Follow food safety requirements and cleaning routines, including monitoring and recording temperatures of temperature-sensitive food items.
  • Validate and follow up on team members’ progress against department checklists and routines.
  • Lead the team in maintaining Starbucks and Pizza Hut brand standards and production specifications where applicable.
  • Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices.
  • Follow perishable inventory management procedures to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Make just-in-time production quantity decisions to maintain freshness, in-stocks, sales, and profitability.
  • Stay up to date on relevant trends and products to educate team members.
  • Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable at the direction of the direct leader.
  • Complete Food Safety Manager Certification requirements and Starbucks and/or Pizza Hut training and certifications.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead safety culture by modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, supporting incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries.
  • Promote inclusivity and create equitable experiences.
  • Lead execution of best practices and help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Model physical security processes and support the in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application.
  • Follow safe and secure training and processes when serving as a key carrier.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leader-on-duty responsibilities during assigned shifts.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services including backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive-Up while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
