Database Administrator

Design and implement enterprise database solutions across cloud and on-premise environments to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and traditional operational workloads

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer relational and NoSQL database systems  

• Implement data security, governance, and compliance controls across database environments  

• Design high availability and disaster recovery solutions using cloud capabilities  

• Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies  

• Troubleshoot database infrastructure issues using monitoring tools  

• Develop automation frameworks for database operations  

• Manage database backup and recovery processes

• Focused ticketing and Monitoring

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 

• At least 2 years of SQL server management, build, configuration and support work experience 

• In-depth knowledge of IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for purposes of communicating with Software and System Engineering teams 

• Ability to take initiative & manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment 

• Excellent organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Preferred

• Certification in one or more commercial database systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDO or Cassandra 

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) 

Expectations 

• This position may require availability outside of standard business hours as part of a rotational on-call schedule
