Requirements
  • MUST have graduated and have hands-on experience with robotic vehicle project outside of college
  • Must be local or willing to relocate
  • BS +5 years / MS +2 year in Electronics, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent field of study
  • Experience in building hardware using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Pixhawk or micro-controllers
  • Experience with sensors (IMUs, magnetometers, GPS/GNSS receivers, Earth sensors, Sun sensors, star trackers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C and CAN communication protocols
  • Proficient in Matlab, Python, C/C++
  • Familiarity with CAD and 3d printing
  • Highly proactive team player with excellent technical communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain testbeds for characterizing performance of various sensors and fusion algorithms
  • Perform qualification and acceptance test planning and execution
  • Interface with flight software and avionics teams to build test jigs for qualifying GNC components on the flight computer board
  • Develop sensor models and fusion algorithms; test them on the hardware
  • Design and implement software tools for ground and in-orbit calibration
  • Conduct processing, visualization and evaluation of orbit data to assess sensor and actuator behavior and performance
  • Maintain cross-functional interaction with other sub-system engineers, providing expertise as needed
  • Participate, present and prepare documentation for engineering reviews
