Amentum is now hiring for several Telecommunications / Electrical Technician (Senior)– CSIA positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

- Operates and maintains complex systems/equipment. Systems may include but are not limited to electronic systems/equipment electromagnetic radiation (RF) spectrum communications systems; HF/MF/LF/VLF transmit/ receive antennas and tower structures.
- Analyzes network characteristics (traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput, etc.) and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network components.
- Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations.
- Evaluates communication hardware and software, troubleshoots LAN/MAN/WAN and network related problems.
- Provides technical expertise for performance and configuration of networks.
- Schedules conversions and cutovers.
- Identifies and corrects system/equipment problems.
- Interprets manufactures reference and technical manuals.
- Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance to system components.
- Provides technical supervision and training to lower level technicians.
- Distinguishes between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
- Performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment, large computers, minicomputers, or microprocessors, including buses for those in a networked environment.
- Installs, operates, troubleshoots communications-electronics equipment, power distribution systems, signal distribution systems and RF distribution systems for complex systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc., as may be applicable.
- Works from, and assists in the development of, engineering drawings.
- Works independently, with minimal supervision.
- As required, manages a team of electronic technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related field (4 years’ experience may be substituted for the degree)
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in fielding experiences integrating the COMSEC equipment including: the KG-175A, KG-175D, KG-250, KG-255, and KIV-7M as well as performing test and evaluation on NSA High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) and Link Encryption Family Encryptors.
- Must be available to travel within 3 days of hire date.
- Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the Army CIO/G6 programmatic requirement
- Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excell, PowerPoint)
- Past experience working in C5ISR an CSIA.
Compensation:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
