Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required.
  • At least 4 years of human resources generalist experience is required, including recruiting in a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, or similar environment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication is required.
  • Working knowledge of human resources practices, payroll administration, benefits compliance, and applicable employment laws is required, including the Affordable Care Act, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and workers' compensation requirements.
  • Experience using human resources information systems and payroll systems is required.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, pre-employment coordination, and hiring manager support.
  • Handle new employee onboarding, including orientation, internship program development and support, and other talent-related initiatives.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain accurate records related to compensation changes, deductions, tax withholdings, benefits, and retirement contributions.
  • Administer employee benefits, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act matters, leave requests, Family and Medical Leave Act matters, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Support annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits and wellness education initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary resource for employee inquiries related to policy interpretation, payroll matters, benefits, leave administration, and employee relations concerns.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, communications, events, and programs designed to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist with performance review processes, training initiatives, safety planning, and compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain human resources, payroll, and benefits records; conduct audits; and assist with required regulatory reporting, including EEO-1, Affordable Care Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration filings.
  • Collaborate with human resources team members and other departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and support business initiatives.
  • Participate in selecting and implementing technology solutions.
  • Contribute to special projects and other human resources responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with a multi-state workforce is a plus.
  • Society for Human Resource Management certification is a plus.
