Requirements
  • MA in a relevant field (i.e. English Language Arts-Secondary programs)
  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
  • Expert knowledge of Quebec Education Plan (QEP) Secondary English Language Arts (SELA) competencies & Progression of Learning
  • Expert knowledge of instructional strategies for ELA
  • Expert knowledge of methods of evaluation in different ELA contexts
  • Expert knowledge of lesson designs and learning evaluation situations using Understanding by Design framework
  • Experience as a Secondary master/teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system
  • Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation
  • Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
  • Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools

  • Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting in advance of course start date
  • A commitment to working collaboratively in planning and delivering the course
