Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position or equivalent training and experience, plus 8 years of progressive related experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Security & Emergency Services (SES), safeguards, or cyber security programs, with a proven track record of developing and monitoring integrated risk management plans within a federal or regulated environment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required; MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
  • Applicants offered employment are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties require a DOE security clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age
  • Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change)
  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road Facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Travel may be required for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Interface with NNSS executive leadership team to assist in developing company program health Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist in implementation of security, emergency management, and cyber program analytical data metrics.
  • Maintain liaison with all Directorates within Security & Emergency Services (SES) to determine security risk conditions affecting safeguards & security of the NNSS.
  • Oversee the implementation of integrated risk management plans for SES as it pertains to the NNSS.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Readiness Assurance management assessments, self-assessments, and surveillances for the NNSS and Satellite Locations.
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor the SES Effectiveness Tool in accordance with the Security Risk Management Framework to systemically identify and analyze physical, technical, and operational security risks.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive security and emergency services performance and programmatic metrics.
  • Serve as lead for SES issues management processes in accordance with SES Assurance Program requirements that measure the health of SES programs.
  • Monitor baseline compliance and performance standards for program management, safeguards & security, emergency management, cyber security, and emergency response entities.
  • Track critical operational Key Performance Indicators to verify that security and emergency responder units are performing in accordance with DOE Orders and federal regulations.
  • Compile and facilitate data for the Monthly Overall Security Risk Review for senior management and federal oversight authorities.
  • Assist with data collection for the Defense Nuclear Security Enterprise Risk Management Plan, as needed.
  • Perform with limited oversight and accept additional tasks with short deadlines.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by management.
