Requirements
  • BE/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics with 10-13 years exp
  • Strong fundamentals of power electronics and basic electricals especially wiring harness
  • Expertise in part development life cycle – Electrical part drawing, electrical standard, Electrical part testing, feasibility, PPAP, process knowledge on part development, Quick & permanent assembly & field issue resolution through Poka Yoke
  • Expertise in audit & validation of wiring harness manufacturing & assembly (EMS) & Wire Harness manufacturing Processes is must
  • Expertise in handling, inspection & validation of class 2 & class 3 PCBAs and Complex Wire Harnesses is must
  • Expertise in validation of special processes like Soldering (Reflow/Wave/MS), Coating, Wiring, Crimping & Torquing is must
  • Should be well versed with requirements of IPC standards like IPC 600/610/7711 for PCBAs and IPC620 for Wire Harnesses
  • IPC certifications if any like CIS/ CIT shall be preferred
  • Substantial experience in handling standard Electrical & Electronic Commodities, catalogue parts is needed
  • Experience in inspection & validation of commodities like AC/ DC motors, Inverters, Controllers, Sensors & switches is needed
  • Knowledge of reading Electrical Wiring schemes & Electronics PCBA schematics & Gerber files will be preferable
  • Should be well versed with First Article Inspection Process and PPAP manual
  • Should be adept in using Control Plans, PFDs, PFMEA, 8D & 7QC tools as required
  • Should be aware of over-all part development cycle from Design reviews to FAI to PSO
Responsibilities
  • Lead expert activities in electronics and electrical parts development for railway segment.
  • Develop electrical parts including drawings, standards, testing, feasibility studies, PPAP, and implement Poka Yoke for quick and permanent assembly and field issue resolution.
  • Audit and validate wiring harness manufacturing and assembly processes (EMS) and wire harness manufacturing processes.
  • Inspect and validate class 2 and class 3 PCBAs and complex wire harnesses.
  • Validate special processes like soldering (reflow, wave, coating, wiring, crimping, torquing).
  • Ensure compliance with IPC standards IPC 600/610/7711 for PCBAs and IPC620 for wire harnesses; pursue IPC certifications if applicable.
  • Manage handling of standard electrical and electronic commodities, catalogue parts; inspect and validate AC/DC motors, inverters, controllers, sensors and switches.
  • Read Electrical Wiring diagrams and electronics PCBA schematics and Gerber files.
  • Oversee First Article Inspection process and PPAP; use control plans, Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, 8D and 7QC tools.
  • Manage overall part development lifecycle from design reviews to first article inspection to production stage approval (PSO).
