We are seeking a visionary individual to serve as a co-leader for our Planning Division. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing PreK-12 planning projects, leading PreK-12 planning business development and expanding the planning team in Central Texas, DFW, and Eastern Regions. While this role is focused on the Central Texas, DFW, and Eastern Regions, this role should also drive innovation in PreK-12 planning services firmwide. The successful candidate possesses an innate understanding of the current landscape, challenges, and trends in PreK-12 education and demonstrates a keen ability to implement innovative, data-backed solutions to complex planning challenges. This position will report to the Planning Leader over Operations with a strong connection to the Planning Leader over Engagement, and Partnerships.
Develop and implement custom planning tools including web application development, data analytics and visualization, and assessments.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop customized solutions that meet their specific needs.
Responsible for new client relationships.
Oversee and manage PreK-12 planning projects in Central Texas (Austin, San Antonio), DFW, and Eastern US regions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Collaborate with planning team, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
Expand planning team in Central Texas, DFW, and Eastern US region offices.
Mentor and support staff growth and professional development.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values all voices and perspectives.
Lead PreK-12 planning business development in Central Texas (Austin, San Antonio), DFW, and Eastern US regions.
Support PBK PreK-12 business development and growth strategies firmwide.
Serve as a firmwide resource for tasks and pursuits nationally.
Oversee acquisition integration.
Foster research initiatives and translate findings into actionable planning and design strategies.
Serve as the planning liaison to the Firmwide Pre-K -12 Market Leader.
Represent the firm as a planning thought leader: Present the firm’s planning achievements at conferences, industry forums, publications and other public platforms
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Public Administration or related field.
10+ years of relevant planning experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute long-range facility master plans.
Familiarity with long-range land use planning, review and coordination of client Design Guidelines, and input into problem resolution for project review issues.
Understanding of programming, design functionality, workflow analysis, cost estimating, construction and project management.
Ability to lead and coordinate work with outside designers, reviewing agencies, facilities services personnel, and county and local government officials.
Ability to collaborate with designers, agencies, officials, and lead cross-functional teams.
Excellent writing, graphic communication, and public speaking skills.
Significant proficiency interpreting site design, engineering, architecture, and technical drawings.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated intercultural competency (the capacity to shift perspective and behavior to bridge cultural differences to reach identified goals).
Expertise in various deliverable, visualization and data analysis technologies including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, Bluebeam, Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, and others.
Demonstrated success implementing firmwide planning standards.
Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to communicate and market planning capabilities.
Travel readiness (up to 40%) throughout regional focus areas.
