Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or other related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with complex communications networks
  • Substantial experience and knowledge in lieu of a degree if no college degree is held
  • Operational experience and/or knowledge of Special Operations Forces (SOF)
  • Knowledge of complex cybersecurity technologies and solutions
  • Understanding of and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions
  • Understanding of VLANs, 802.1Q, TCP/IP, Routing (BGP, OSPF), Firewalling, Wireless Networking, DNS, DHCP, Windows Networking, Windows, Linux, Browser Fingerprints
Responsibilities
  • Performs requirements collection, analysis, and refinement
  • Designs and plans multi-layered communications networks and associated cybersecurity solutions
  • Provides input to specifications and detailed network architecture artifacts
  • Provides guidance on what details of a system are externally discoverable to ensure the proper cyber posture is maintained
  • Provides specific, detailed technical recommendations for the most efficient solution to meet operational requirements
  • Develops integration strategies for proposed solutions
  • Researches, evaluates, and reports on new/emerging network/cybersecurity technologies to enhance performance, security, and reliability of the network
  • Provides input to the program Technology Roadmap
  • Provides independent verification and validation of vendor-recommended solutions
