POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President of Emerging Brands Commercialization, the Emerging Brands Specialist is responsible for the flawless execution of the commercialization strategy for new product launches. This individual will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of specified business targets (volume, distribution, and product optimization learnings) through partnership of key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess an outgoing, charismatic personality with a deep desire to share the love of beverage. They will be energetic and motivated to always exceed customer expectations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Oversee the execution of all brand initiatives for the assigned local market as part of the go-to-market strategy
- Answer customer questions and make knowledgeable recommendations, based on customers’ tastes and personal preferences
- Train and educate all stakeholders (including but not limited to, wholesaler sales staff, CBI Field Sales, retail staff, and brand ambassadors) through both informal tastings and all-hands training meetings.
- Participate in ride-withs with wholesaler sales staff to sell and merchandise the product in market
- Develop & foster account and wholesaler relationships
- Maintain open lines of communication and collaboration amongst internal & external stakeholders so that the brand is kept top-of-mind
- Develop important relationships with retail (off/on-premise) managers and deliver on opportunities for product placements, specials, sales competitions and partnerships for events and other activities on an account-by-account basis.
- Work with brand team to update sell stories based on local feedback to create compelling interactions with customers and those who are new to discovering the brand
- Provide comprehensive weekly recaps of efforts to key stakeholders (wholesaler, CBI Field Sales, and VP, Emerging Brands Commercialization)
- Provide monthly recaps on competitor pricing, placement, marketing initiatives, and POS opportunities. Reports to be shared with CBI & wholesaler and will include key recommendations on how to improve performance/engagement
- Leverage local learnings to uncover additional opportunities to further align the consumer in the market. Examples include on-premise seeding, additional off-premise accounts including small chains
- Oversight all market-level budget initiatives
- Lead the allocation of local funds with the goal to drive awareness and trial
- Provide monthly budget reports and forecasting to commercial lead and brand team
- Identify, secure, and lead our brands’ participation in local events
- Serve as an information hub of all activity happening in-market and communicate that to key stakeholders
- Participate in monthly CBI MDM/wholesaler sales meetings to provide key updates, learning, and sales to the wholesaler team
- Work with wholesaler merchandisers to assist with in-store execution and sales
- Work with CBI MDM to find ways to motivate, educate, and inspire the wholesaler and community on the product (wholesaler presentations, etc.)
- Identify additional market-level opportunities to allow the brand to further integrate and align with the target consumer. Examples include additional media tactics, identify local influencers/promoters to champion the brand, sampling opportunities, optimizations of the Shyft marketing plan, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This role is multi-faceted and requires analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skill sets:
- Completion of online application
- Valid identification to demonstrate being at least 21 years of age
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the CPG/beverage/wholesaler space.
- Reliable transportation, and a clean driving history free of DUI and related offenses
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the desire to be a passionate brand ambassador
- Knowledge and understanding of local laws and guidelines around identification and service of alcohol
- Ability to deal with challenging situations and handle customer service matters professionally and effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Natural curiosity; especially from psychological and anthropological perspective
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods or Beverage Alcohol industries

- Must be at least 21 years of age.

The salary range for this role is:
$60,400.00 - $88,800.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
