  • MDOT Certified Office Technician

Responsibilities
  • Set-up and maintain complete project files in FieldManager and ProjectWise
  • Track material usage in accordance with the contractors' Material Source Lists in FieldManager and ProjectWise
  • Review/edit Inspector Daily Reports in FieldManager and ProjectWise
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and Special Provisions
  • Prepare draft Contract Modifications
  • Review contractor payrolls and verify prevailing wage (Davis/Bacon) on MDOT and federally funded projects in LCPTracker
  • Prepare biweekly estimates in FieldManager
  • Review contractor payments to subcontractors in MERS
  • Prepare certification letters, substantial completion letters, final inspections letters
  • Write letters to contractors/owners and expedite resolution for various issues (i.e. deficiency lists)
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Prepare project records for MDOT audits and/or other agencies, including internal project self-audits
  • Monitor task budgets and progress
  • Assist Project Managers with duties as assigned
  • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
