Requirements
  • B.A/B.S or equivalent is highly preferred
  • Proven management experience in farming services (more than ten (10) years of relevant experience)
  • Hands-on approach
  • Interest in developing sustainable ag solutions
  • Curiosity with out-of-the-box thinking and leadership
  • Strong history of building relationships with customers (serving as a key ambassador of the brand and company)
  • Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Data-driven approach to taking learnings from the field to the business
  • Computer skills and fluency in Google tools, Slack, bug tracking systems, and various other technology tools
  • You are passionate about agriculture and believe in bringing new technology and solutions to the crops
  • You've worked in agriculture environments and with agricultural equipment and can safely and expertly manage the delivery and operation of our next-generation products
  • You are generally curious and ask questions to understand customers' needs better and want to find solutions that make a difference in the world
  • You think strategically, and you learn by doing and asking questions
  • You understand how to work with everyone from executives to laborers and enjoy connecting with people at all levels of an operation/organization
Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in identifying and lining up trial customers and locations based on business objectives
  • Help create guidelines for future projects and convert trial customers to ongoing customers generating revenue for the company
  • Work closely with the engineering team to outline trial and FCS requirements, schedules, and timelines, and collaborate to set up milestones for achieving testing and trial success
  • Deliver, measure, and evaluate the value of providing farming services through testing and trials to commercializationCapture learnings and evolve processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of trials program and staging of trials
  • Hire and manage an expanded Agtonomy field operations team and expand trial participants and customers on using the equipment, services, etc
  • Create training material for all customers on how to use the Agtonomy services, including working with engineering to create any custom tools needed for training
  • Identify next-generation offerings of data capture and analysis and new service opportunities
  • In partnership with the business team, calculate farmer ROI and develop pricing and model that supports customer needs and drives Agtonomy's business
  • Collaborate across internal product, technology, operations, and marketing teams
  • Define and promote best practices in risk mitigation and safety Communicate and share updates with key stakeholders
