Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Ensure network architecture meets organizational requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access. Configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Monitor network performance and traffic patterns to identify and address bottlenecks, latency issues, and other performance issues. Optimize network settings and configurations for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and IT teams for network-related issues. Troubleshoot connectivity problems, DNS issues, and other network-related problems to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, software, and services. Evaluate vendor proposals and solutions to ensure they meet organizational requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on network-related topics and best practices. Share knowledge and expertise to build a strong network infrastructure team.
